About Brenda:
I am a graduate student at UBC with research interests in cancer biology specifically mechanisms of development and progression. In my current work, I use a combination of computational and functional biology approaches to investigate the molecular basis of cancer development. I completed my undergraduate degree at UBC and have had experiences in various labs investigating different biological mechanisms with applications to health and disease. This included co-op terms in both the biotechnology industry and academic labs and completion of a senior honours thesis. Happy to chat about anything research related, applying to graduate school, or careers in research.
