About URO:

The club was founded around 2010, growing out of a peer mentorship initiative to help students explore and engage in research. Since then, URO has become a cornerstone of the UBC undergraduate research community — connecting, supporting, and empowering hundreds of students every year to discover their passion for research across disciplines.

URO is a student-led organization dedicated to providing multidisciplinary research and networking opportunities for undergraduate students who are taking their first steps into the world of research. Through networking events, research programs, and publishing opportunities, URO helps students explore their interests, deepen their understanding of research, and provide meaningful insight into their future careers.
