About Alyssa:
Hi, my name is Alyssa, and I’m a fourth-year Honours Psychology student at UBC! My research experience spans both developmental and clinical psychology. In my developmental research, I’ve explored questions surrounding how children understand the social world, including gender roles/stereotypes, social biases, and inequality. I’m also involved in clinical research on concussion recovery, with a focus on improving how we measure patient-reported symptoms and determine what constitutes a clinically meaningful change. More broadly, I’m interested in how neurological conditions and injuries affect the way people think and function in their everyday lives, including areas like memory, executive functioning, attention, and information processing.
