About Alice:
My name is Alice and I’m a fourth year Neuroscience student at UBC with a passion for women’s health. Since my first year, I have been a Research Assistant in the Hanley Lab, studying ovarian cancer prevention strategies and supporting a wide variety of dry lab projects. I have published two projects using nationwide population-based data to examine contraceptive trends and surgical procedures for ovarian cancer prevention, presented my findings at national conferences, to international collaborators, and to the public through podcasts and forums. I am especially excited about knowledge translation and translational research, and always happy to chat about how students can share their projects with others. I have held several UBC and VCHRI summer research awards and am always happy to support anyone through the application processes, and answering any questions about getting involved! Outside of the lab, I love traveling, hiking, and am currently training for my first Hyrox!
